Who builds the sets

I build the world a product is photographed in, one painted backdrop at a time.

Set designer and art director for still-life campaigns, working from a ground-floor studio in Vila Madalena with a six-meter cyc wall and 140 numbered backdrop chips. Brands and picture editors send a brief; what comes back is a set, a palette and a shoot day run from beside the camera.
